Technology / First product

An onboard vision layer
for interceptors.

Our first product is a terminal seeker in development: software intended to acquire and track a designated aerial target using onboard cameras and computing.

The product boundary

Precision begins
with the right task.

Long-range search depends on external sensors. The onboard camera’s role is the precision visual task: acquiring and maintaining the designated target as part of a wider system.

External sensing

Cue or designation

A direction or designated object from another system.

Kodanda focus

Onboard vision

Acquisition, track state and intended guidance output.

Partner platform

Flight control & integration

Qualified platform engineering and validation.

Conceptual system boundary. This diagram describes the intended product contribution, not a fielded integration.

Engineering focus

More than seeing
an object once.

The work is about continuity: knowing when the visual evidence is useful, when it has been lost, and what needs to be evaluated next.

Acquisition

Start from a cue.

Study how a designated object becomes an onboard visual track, with the external input and its limitations stated.

Continuity

Maintain the right track.

Evaluate changing viewpoints, clutter, competing objects, temporary loss and reacquisition.

Embedded compute

Account for time.

Measure processing on the hardware used, with the workload and timing conditions kept explicit.

Current stage

Built through
staged evidence.

Work to date spans simulation studies, recorded-video evaluations and physical-camera bench experiments with embedded computing. Cross-domain reliability and integrated autonomous flight remain open validation steps.

Visible-camera work leads the current programme. Thermal evaluation is a later path. Platform adaptability is a design intention to evaluate with partners.

A focused
software contribution.

Kodanda develops onboard intelligence. External sensing, airframes, effectors, flight-control integration and operational authority sit with the relevant specialists and partners.

Development demonstrations use inert targets. Evaluation conversations should begin with the platform, the intended test conditions and the evidence needed to assess the contribution.
